the family motto.....

i found this mirror at a flea market for $10.00.  it was a dark brown wood in really bad shape but i liked the detail at the top.
the silver was flaking off the back and was not usable as a mirror.
so i removed the mirror, painted it white, distressed the detail and slapped a piece of mdf board behind the frame.
two coats of chalkboard paint later and we have the perfect display for our new
family motto....
happy tuesday...

LOL, that's what every family needs to say. I loved the mirror even though it was usable as a mirror. But this chalkboard is the bomb too. Terry

Cindy,
Love it! The detailing at the top is soooo pretty! Your family motto cracks me up! :)

You wanted to know what my husband thought of the gray battleship? He likes it and said he knew all along it would turn out great~ yea, right! I guess I surprised him! :)

Very nice...beautiful transformation especially the white paint. The original mirror was lovely too, but I agree, the chalkboard would be more useful.

Saying hello from a fellow WW participant. Please stop by when you get a chance, I'm having a nice giveaway. Au revoir.

That is great! The frame is fabulous. And that quote is one of my favorites :o) I may have to go home and change up my chalkboard.
