and champ is first in line...

does your dog do this? 

every time he hears that dishwasher door open he has his nose and tongue stuck in it.  

and he can hear that door from a mile away because it squeaks and creaks whenever 

i open it.  and that isn't because the dishwasher is ten years old and rusted at the door joints.  

oh, no....not at all.  

you would think that we never feed him.....he furiously licks the plates and silverware 

as they sit in the rack.   

when he hears that door open when i am putting clean dishes away, he gives me the stink-eye because there isn't anything to lick.  

the other night, i reheated some spanish rice in a non non-stick pan and 

let me tell you, it stuck.  it didn't burn, though because i never burn anything... 

so because i was too lazy to let it soak  really wanted to get the dishwasher turned on,

i let champ have at it.   i swear he was purring while he was going to town on that pan....

he is resourceful....if the pan slides around....

 he sticks his paw in there to hold it steady!!

that's right, get every grain of coagulated and congealed rice out of that pan, boy so i don't have to scrub it!  mama wants to flop on the couch...

i have to say, though, i think he gets the dishes cleaner than that rusted old 10 year old thing does.  

don't worry, mom, we do turn it on. occasionally....
